Dr. Jerzy Kalinowski is CEO of AMG.net S.A., IT consulting company specializing in e-solutions. He holds M. Sc. in Telecommunications and Ph. D. in Computer Engineering both from the Warsaw University of Technology. He also earned M. Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester, USA.
Prior to joining AMG.net he was CEO of i-start.pl, technology investment company. Earlier, he was also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Optimus SA, IT public company. In parallel, he was in the Supervisory Board of Onet.pl (polish leading portal) and Optimus Lockheed Martin ITG (IT consulting firm).
In 1993-99 Dr. Kalinowski was with PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Price Waterhouse), where he was Director of Business Consulting in Management Consulting Services. He was also the country leader of PwC for the infocommmunications industry.
Earlier, he was the member of the Managing Board of the Polish Telephones Foundation. In 80-ties, Dr. Kalinowski was an assistant professor at the Institute of Telecommunications, Warsaw University of Technology.
Hans Jarle Kind received his Doctorate from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) in 1999, with a dissertation on the relationship between international trade, growth and economic development. He is teaching international trade, macroeconomics and industrial organization at both graduate and post-graduate levels. His main fields of research encompass economic geography, endogenous growth, corporate taxation, and the economics of network- and telecommunication industries.
Hans Jarle Kind has published in journals like Review of International Economics and Japanese Economic Review on the relationship between trade liberalization and growth, in Journal of Public Economics on the relationship between trade liberalization and corporate taxation, and in Journal of Regulatory Economics on the relationship between international trade and optimal regulation of telecommunication firms.
