Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the International MBA and the Executive MBA program?
First of all, the difference between these programs lies in the course of realization. The International MBA is an annual program, carried out every day in the afternoon while the Executive MBA is a 2-year program carried out over the weekends. The difference also lies in the profile of participants – in the case of the EMBA it is the managerial staff with at least 3-year experience and in the case of the IMBA the groups are more international and a part of the group are the students with work experience shorter than 3 years.
What should an applicant for your MBA be characterized by? Should (s)he have knowledge in the field of economics...?
We do not require knowledge of economic issues from applicants for the MBA studies. The studies are directed at persons with extremely diversified specialties; we do not favor any vocational group, since it is the diversity of participants’ profiles that allows them to exchange their rich professional experiences and determines the huge added value of the MBA studies.
Is there an integration session planned in the program?
Prior to starting classes an away-from-home integration session that includes the so-called "team-building session" takes place. The classes – through various elements (integration games, watching the phases of team development, analysis of roles in the team) – prepare the students to effective group work, which is a very important element of the didactic process.
Both the away-from-home integration "team-building session" and the voluntary preparatory classes of Business English and mathematics are included in the program price.
Is an away-from-home session planned in the program?
Since 2006 the Executive MBA students have participated in the away-from-home session in one of our partner universities.
Are all classes conducted in English?
Yes, 100%.
Does the School provide teaching materials? Are they included in the studies fee?
Yes, all students receive materials for classes in special individual cases. In addition, the Library offers textbooks from the respective subjects, one for each student. There are no additional fees for didactic materials.
Do the graduates receive a diploma of a foreign university/college and if they do, who signs such a diploma?
Having completed their studies the graduates receive the Executive or (International) Master of Business Administration Diploma. The MBA diploma is awarded by the Warsaw University of Technology, whose quality and international renown is confirmed by an entry on the diploma of three leading European schools of management: HEC School of Management Paris, London Business School, Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration. The diploma is signed by the Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology and the Chirman of the international School Council.
