We would like to invite you to take part in our Consultancy Field
Trip in Warsaw area, which will be organised from 30 March – 3 April 2009.
The Cass Business School program has visited Argentina twice, Vietnam once,
and Russia three times as well as Krakow and Gdansk 5 times. The trips were very
successful for both the business clients and the students as well. This is the
first collaboration Cass Business School and WUTBS and we hope this will become
an annual event.
The hosting companies will benefit by receiving
objective consultancy advice that will finish by a Consultancy Report prepared
by experienced executives coming from many different industries working under
the supervision of academics from Cass Business School. Our students will
benefit by testing management theories which they have learnt in the school on
real business examples. The trip will also provide many of them the opportunity
to observe new perspectives of doing business in a different country.
We
cover all costs of the visits (hotels, mini-vans, travel) plus translators for
each group – the company is asked to host the group of students, share
information and facilitate all necessary contacts depending on the topic of the
consultancy. We sign a Confidentiality Agreement with all companies to ensure
that no information is shared with third parties and that it is a pure academic
exercise between the school and the company.
The project schedule:
• Company
confirm taking part in the project by filling in the Information Form and
sending it back to the WUT Business School (with the proposal of the topic of
the consultancy project, which needs to be linked to any issue of business
development)
• After receiving the Information Form and making an
appraisal of the topic, WUTBS will get in touch with company to arrange a
meeting with Joanna Zaleska and Chris Jeffery from Cass Business School who lead
the project
• From 30 March (Monday) – 3 April (Friday) 2009, 5-6 of the
MBA students plus a translator will come to your company to work and collect
data on your chosen consultancy topic i.e. conducting interviews with employees,
analysing markets, documents etc. The methodology of their work will depend on
the topic of the consultancy.
• On Friday towards the end of the week,
each group will provide a short presentation to the Management as a summary of
their fact finding work during week in the company and provide the first
preliminary conclusions. This will be elaborated on and analysed later in the
written Consultancy Report which will be provided within 3 weeks.
We
cover hotel and transport (each group has one mini-van). The hosting client is
responsible for:
• designating a person who will be responsible for
the group and helping them in collecting data, organising meetings with
employees, sight seeing etc.
• providing a small room in which students
could work during their week in Poland and meeting with the employees of the
company (depending on the topic of the consultancy).
If your company is
interested in taking part in our field trip in March/April 2009 please fill in
and send back the Information Form till the 12th of March 2009.
