How to hunt an elephant ? - 2 December 2008
|  Grzegorz Turniak gave a lecture on „How to hunt an elephant, i.e. how do you
gain and maintain major clients?” on Tuesday 2 December
2008 at 6:00 p.m. During the lecture you had opportunity to learn - among others -
about six key factors for focusing on a major client, ideas and technologies of
developing a list of potential elephants, how to find allies who would become
your business representatives inside the client’s organization, secrets of
negotiations with elephants in order to maintain profits and finally about the
methods of translating disasters in the client’s business into the loyalty of
the later. |

Friday@Five with Mr Józef Wancer- 28 November 2008
| We are glad to inform that on 28 November 2008, during our Friday@Five meetings, we were
honored by the presence of Mr Józef Wancer, President of the Management Board of Bank BPH SA. For 23 years worked for Citibank of New York as a Vice-President. He
also held managerial posts at various units of the bank, including
Japan, Austria, Great Britain and France. Between 1995 and 2000 he was
Vice-President and President of the Management Board of Raiffeisen
Centrobank in Warsaw.The topic of the meeting was: "Management of the financial institution in time of crisis”. Media Patron will be MBA Portal. |

Inauguration & Graduation 2008/2009
| On 12th October an Inaugural Ceremony of the new academic year 2008/2009
accompanied with the MBA Graduation Ceremony took place in the Mala Aula of WUT
Main Building. The elite of 75 MBA graduates joined more than 1300 WUTBS Alumni. Also, MBA students launched a new academic year. The new group is very international with students from almost
all continents.

WUTBS Professor appointed to the EIT

is a great pleasure to inform that our Professor Ms. Daria Golebiowska-Tataj
has been appointed to the EIT (the European Institute of Innovation and
Technology) Governing Board.Welcoming the appointment, European
Commission President José Manuel Barroso stated: "I am delighted with the
nomination of the EIT's first Governing Board. I am convinced that the
excellence of the Board's members will make it a success. The EIT is soon to
become a reality. Europe needs more than ever a strong commitment to innovation

Mastery Class -SEM Forum 2008
|  We are very proud to inform you that for the second time both of our programmes – the Executive MBA and the International MBA achieved the higher quality standard of Mastery Class in the latest MBA Rating done by the Association of Management Education SEM FORUM. Evaluating the programmes, the rating authors took into account the results of the detailed questionnaires together with the results of the enquiries held among graduates and employers.

Development published a book “Dobre Praktyki SPO RZL”. European Manager
Postgraduate MBA Programme launched by our School in 2005-2008 was recognized
as one of 20 model projects in the chapter titled "Mistrzowie biznesu" (PDF

|  We are glad to inform that during our Friday@Five meetings, we were
honored by the presence of Mr Krzysztof Rybiński, said to be one of the best
